5-4 Win vs West Coast Saints
A important win against a team that we’re three points behind and a defeat would have pulled them joint top with us.
The windy conditions seemed to affect the lads at the start of the game and we weren’t off the blocks in the first half – a big contrast to the game last week.
We went down 3-1 at one point but the second half was big improvement and we started to play much better and managed to take the lead.
West Coast equalised against the run of play however the lads continued to show resilience and kept plugging away to get the goal to pull us ahead.
Another good goalscoring performance from Jonah who also did some good defensive work tracking back.
Good performances from all the lads who put another good shift especially in the second half.
Man of the Match went to Callum who was solid at the heart of midfield putting in some good tackles and excellent long balls. He got a well deserved goal from a long range strike.
Harvey received parents player of the match for another resolute defensive display.
This result continues our unbeaten run and keeps us at the top of the division at the halfway point of the league fixtures. Hopefully we can keep this going and achieve something at the end of the season.
