Falcons vs Poulton Blacks (6-2 win) – 28th September 2025.
We comprehensively beat an in-form Poulton side that were sitting top of the division with some good results. It was first against second with both teams with unbeaten records prior to this.
We had a few players unavailable including Thomas our goalkeeper but thankfully I’ve managed to dual register Alfie our u13s keeper who had an excellent game.
It was an another entertaining match in which we had lots of chances and I was pleased to see goals coming from a number of players. Goals from James, Kyle, Jonah, Callum and Sam. Some of the goals were top drawer stuff.
Superb performances from the whole squad who worked hard from the first whistle.
The early goals meant we were in control for the majority of the game and allowed to use the full squad depth to give good time to all the players.
In the second half, I was able to test players in different positions which will help us long term.
Managers player of the Match went to James who played well on the right midfield position both in attacking and defending phases of the game. Got a couple of well deserved goals.
Parents man if the match went to Sam who scored his first goal for the club after coming on as striker. I was pleased he was rewarded for his hard work today.
This result keeps the unbeaten run going and takes the Falcons top of the division.
