*🏆 U10s Player of the Day for saturdays game – Isla 🏆*
On saturday Isla showed fantastic determination from the first whistle to the last. She worked hard to win her individual battles all over the pitch, chased every ball, and was desperate to help the team get a goal and a positive result. Her attitude and effort were brilliant throughout.
Although we were unlucky to concede in the final minute and lose the game, Isla and the rest of the team should be incredibly proud. Playing against a team from the league above, the players competed brilliantly and produced some lovely football at times. It was great to see the confidence to play, pass, and take the game to strong opposition.
*What stood out most was the team spirit.* The lads and girls were brilliant at picking each other up — when someone made a mistake or we conceded, they were straight over with encouragement and “next one, come on”. That support for each other is what makes this team special.
There were moments where a little more communication could have helped us, but overall it was a cracking team performance.
Moving forward, we’d like to see more consistency, quicker movement of the ball, and for players like Isla to be even more confident in using their voice to organise and encourage teammates on the pitch.
Well done, Isla, and well done to the whole team. Keep working hard, keep believing in yourselves 💙💛⚽
