Early morning start for our scorpions this morning against kirkham. 🦂 ⚽️
The match started strong with both teams pushing hard making some incredible passes and showing they both wanted this win.
kirkham showing no fear and slipped there first goal in the net. Although this did not bring our keepers spirits down, Leighton took being in goal in his stride today which was fantastic to see from a player who’s normally the other end of the pitch. It wasn’t long till Jade came to do what he knew he could and secured us a goal bringing it to 1-1. Incredible game play from Jade!
Scorpions working hard keeping that ball where it needed to be and it lands with bako getting past not one not two but three players and bringing it towards the goal straight in securing us another goal. 2-1 to us.
2nd half Blake pushed back in defence with Kleo making that defence line not just faster but even stronger. Alfie made some incredible runs and tackles as did Daniel making kirkham struggle to even get near the box.
Unfortunately for us Kirkham ran there socks off and landed yet another cracking goal bringing the scores 2-2. Scorpions knew they could get another before that whistle blew and the whole team worked tremendously, the ball was in play Tyler bringing the pressure non stop, Kleo kept the defence line in check and our midfielders and strikers worked tirelessly with some amazing strong passes down the pitch to Alfie who showed power on the ball & it flew right to the back of the net securing our 3rd goal of the game, another win for the scorpions. 🦂
